KXM Interview with George Lynch and dUg Pinnick by Alan O' Bar

I recently had the rare opportunity to interview two metal legends: dUg Pinnick of King’s X and George Lynch of Dokken/Lynch Mob fame.  They’ve recently teamed up with Korn drummer Ray Luzier to form KXM,  (Korn, X, Mob: KXM.  Get it?) and this year they’ve released their self-titled debut to quite a bit of well-earned acclaim.

Houston Roller Derby Interview by Brandy Brown

I can’t tell you how I felt when I strapped skates on for the first time. Was it fear? Was it exhilaration? All I knew for sure was that I was about to be a part of something bigger and I felt alive as I raced around that track (obviously after I figured out how to work skates for the first time in 20 years). I was a member of the Houston Roller Derby and let me tell you, those were some of the best times of my life. I met great people and I learned some great skills and good gracious was I fit! But as it happens many times, life got in the way.

12 Stones Interview by Brandy Brown

I was fortunate enough to get to sit down with Paul McCoy and Eric Weaver of 12 Stones at their show here in Houston at BFE Rock Club on May 23rd. 12 Stones was one of those bands that I had become a fan of because their music had been in a lot of the movies I had watched. There is a timeless appeal to the music they play and that was evident to me in the reactions of the crowd as they went on stage.
